Work Duty Requirements and Opportunities.
The Chesterfield Football Association is comprised of over 25 teams and over 600 players. The CFA is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors and day to day operation of the CFA requires our families to complete a work duty requirement.
Currently, a family must complete a 4 hours of credit to complete their CFA work duty obligation. Work Duty Opportunities are classified into three categories of credit, 4 hours, 2 hours, or 1 hour. Work Duty Credits are assigned based upon amount of time and work content. Some shifts actual time required may exceed the credit received.
At the time of registration, families are required to provide a non-dated check as a deposit. You will have the opportunity to schedule your Work Duty during the registration process. Please review the attached Work Duty Opportunities. During the registration process, Work Duty is assigned on a first come first serve basis. A limited number of families have the opportunity Buy Out of their Work Duty Responsibility.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your work duty shift and sign in with the Board Member on Duty. Occasionally, dates and times of the originally scheduled work duty may change. In this case, the CFA will contact you regarding your updated Work Duty Assignment.
Once a family completes their 4 hour work duty obligation, their Work Duty Deposit will be returned during Equipment Return. Failure to complete your 4 hours of credit will result in the forfeiture of your Work Duty Deposit.
Rescheduling - The CFA’s day to day operations rely upon individuals to complete their Work Duty Assignment. If you have a need to reschedule, it is your responsibility to find someone to swap shifts. Prior to 30 days of your scheduled Work Duty, you have the opportunity to reschedule your original Work Duty. You can only reschedule if there are available Work Duty Opportunities later in the year.
Within 30 days, you cannot reschedule your work duty requirement. In the event that a conflict occurs and it is within 30 days of your scheduled event you have two options:
• Find a replacement to fulfill your original work Duty
• Trade Work Duty Assignments with someone else CFA.
In either case, it is your responsibility to coordinate not CFA or the CFA Work Duty Coordinator.

WORK DUTY OPPORTUNTIES
PRE-SEASON OPPORTUNITIES
1. Equipment Pick Up - Requirement - Work a 4 hour shift. Shifts are either morning or afternoon. Duties include helping the CFA Board of Directors to handout helmets, shoulder pads, measure and fit the athlete, selling CFA merchandise, and collect registration and checks.
2011 Dates are Saturday 5/21, Sunday 5/22, Saturday 7/30
2. Jelly Jamboree – Requirement – Work a 4 hour shift. Shifts are either morning, afternoon, or evening. Duties include admissions/tickets, concessions, snow cones, grill master, traffic control, selling CFA merchandise and clean-up. Come help the CFA Board of Directors launch the 2011 football season while helping those in our community.
If you do not want to work while your child plays/cheers – youngest kids play on Friday night and the age groups go up as the weekend progresses.
2011 Jelly Jamboree is scheduled for Friday, August 12th, Saturday August 13th, Sunday August 14th at CBC High School.

o 4:30pm to 8:30pm
o 5:00pm to 9:00pm

o 10:00am to 2:00pm

3. Gateway Football League Weigh-Ins – Requirement – Work a 4 hour and 30 minute shift. Shifts are either morning or afternoon. Duties require individuals to assist the Gateway Football League with certifying players and player’s weight in order for them compete in the GFL. Typical duties include verifying birth certificates, recording weights, and managing the flow of teams through the process. 2011 Weigh In Dates are Saturday, August 13th and Saturday, August 20th at Cross Keys Middle School. Morning shift 7:30am to 12noon and Afternoon Shift 11:30am to 4:00pm. Dates and Times are approximate and may change
4. CFA Pig Skin Classic – Requirement – Work a 4 hour shift. Shifts are either morning, afternoon, or evening. Duties include concessions, grill master, and clean-up. Last year, CFA competed against teams from throughout Eastern Missouri. In the third year, the CFA Invitational is already establishing itself as a premier football event. Come help the CFA compete against premier football teams from the region.
2011 Chesterfield Pig Skin Classic is scheduled for Saturday 8/20/11 and Sunday 8/21/11 at Chaminade High School.

DURING THE SEASON
1. Merchandise Sales and Pad Return (South Fields) at Practice – Requirement – Work TWO 2 hour and 30 minute shifts. Shifts are 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Duties include Set-Up, Selling, Inventory, and Clean-Up related to the selling of CFA Logo Apparel as well as returning the two carts of football pads to the equipment room. Shifts are available Monday through Friday, August 1st to 12th and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from August 16th to October 27th.
2. Merchandise Sales at Games – Requirement – Work a 4 hour shift. Shifts are either morning or afternoon. Duties include Set-Up, Selling, Inventory, and Clean-Up related to the selling of CFA Logo Apparel. Sign up today for the opportunity to sell the sharpest football apparel in the GFL. Shifts are available 8:30am to 12:30pm or 12:30pm to 4:30pm Saturday and Sundays from September 10th to November 13th. Includes regular season and playoffs.
3. Fields – Requirement - Work FOUR 1 hour shifts. Duties – During the first two weeks (August 1st to August 12th), there are of practice assist with Traffic Control 5:15pm to 6:30pm. During the remainder of the season, each Monday and Friday, there are one hour credits shifts (7:45pm to 8:30pm) to assist with the return of the two carts of football pads s to the equipment room. Shifts available August 15th to October 28th.
POST SEASON
1. Equipment Return – Requirement – Work a 4 hour shift. Shifts are either morning or afternoon. Duties include the collection, inventory, and packing of athlete’s helmets, pads, jerseys, and pants. In addition there are opportunities to assist with selling merchandise. Dress warm and come out to help wrap up the 2011 CFA Football Season.
2011 Dates are Saturday 11/5 and Saturday 12/3. Morning Shift 8am to 12noon and Afternoon Shift 11:30am to 3:30pm.
