Parking at CFA Fields

Below is a note CFA received from a City of Chesterfield official about the illegal parking at the fields. Please know that Chesterfield police will be ticketing cars that are not parked in the designated parking lots.
MoDOT will be adding no parking signs on North Outer Forty, west of Spirit at some point in the very near future. Parking has been restricted along North Outer 40 for years east of Spirit, due to the inherent safety issues associated with kids and fast moving cars. With the recent completion of the Spirit overpass improvements and inclusion of the two ramps on\off of highway 40, traffic has increased significantly.
For convenience, laziness, and viewing; football parents tend to park alongside both sides of North Outer 40. This is an absolute recipe for disaster and is only a matter of time before some excited kid or parent runs across the street and gets hit by a vehicle at highway speed. It’s a terrifying and unsafe practice.
Attached are some photos from last Friday that depict the issues we are concerned with. Parents contend that inadequate parking is available. We all know that this is not true. It is alarming to see the parked vehicles, but also surprising to see the number of vacant spots in our two western-most parking lots. Not to mention that the main parking lot was not 1/3 used. There is also parking immediately on the opposite side of the levee.
Parking on the hillside adjacent to North Outer 40 is simply unacceptable and the Parking Restriction will be going up when MoDOT has the time to do so.
Please pass this along to your coaches and parents. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for all participants. To accomplish this we need everyone to participate.
