Remove all gross contaminates such as mud from your helmet and shoulder pads using a mild dish detergent.  DO NOT USE HARSH CHEMICALS TO CLEAN YOUR HELMET OR SHOULDER PADS, AS THEY WEAKEN THE PLASTIC.
