Tom Ignaczak: is on the Mile wall for a sub-6 minute mile at Ascension, received Art award, and the Presidential Academic award for having an A average grade point every year of elementary school.

Nick Wallace: Will attend Lafayette instead of Marquette.  Rumor has it that Kyler and Nick  are now surgically attached!

Ernie Macias: has received Honor Roll, De la Salle scholarship award from CBC,
Leadership scholarship award from St Joseph Catholic Church, and the most
important one of all surviving another year as a member of the Macias household.

BIG NEWS.... 3 of your teammates were recipients of a 2008 National Football Foundation Excellence Award. The award is given to young men who have excelled on the playing field, in the classroom, and as Importantly as role models by showing character and sportsmanship in all of their actions.

The Winners are Bert Birdsall (CBC next year), Ernie Macias (CBC next year), and Lucas Hernandez (SLUH next year). These boys exemplified the CFA Mission Vision and Values and are a great example of what the CFA wants from its players and coaches.

Their efforts provided $ 300.00 to the CFA to carry out it's work with the youth of West County.

Congratulations to these three exceptional young men. We are proud of you!!!  

Parents, players, coaches and friends, thanks for a great season, and for all of the years that we were able to spend together. We learned a great many things together, sportsmanship, competition, winning and losing with dignity, and the ability to learn some great life lessons in the process regardless of the outcome of the game.

A special thanks to the CFA Board and in particular President Jim Zara for his leadership of the CFA, the Gateway League Board under the great leadership of Tom Lansing and all the other special volunteers that give their time and talent to insure all participants in the CFA and GFL have a great experience.
